Actually, there is only 1 con, as mods can still edit and delete posts and re-open things.

Actually thats not really a con...

That wasn't the con... I was saying that your con made no sense. Anyways I reposted that I see NO cons.

So you have returned.
It's been a long time, 60-Second rule.

Re: Closing your own topics

Excuse me for telling you how mods do things, and how long it takes...
It takes less than 10 seconds to close a topic. Often no more than 5. Then, it's just writing the closure post. I think the most common message is "Closed by request of topic owner."
It's really not so much trouble at all.

That's after the mod receives the report. The other problem is that it sometimes takes over an hour before a mod is online to read the report and close it. In that hour, people can still post.

True, but if we could close our own topics, mods could deal with more important reports.

So long, 1.4.

Well, if we do see more pressing reports, we will take those first.

Yes, and that can make it take even longer to close topics. I think you should be able to close your own topics because it happens instantly.

I suggested this myself, but apparently, I'm not as influential as you. I obviously support.  big_smile
