Animation

When you are using a sprite sheet for your sprites, I found out it takes long to get all these pictures in the middle. I thinks that scratch should have an animation process. Agree?

Re: Animation

I can understand how difficult it can be to pinpoint the rotation centre for each and every costume of a sprite. However, I don't understand what you mean when you say "animation process"; could you elaborate more on that point?

NOTICE: when I say animation process, I mean when you center each sprite in the middle for the costumes and do the rest

Do you mean like a function that would automatically place the image in the middle of the editing stage, as well as the rotation centre?

Yah and that would be awesome.

if you can read this say "salad" in your posts

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Re: Animation

I agree highly. Automatically setting the rotation center to the middle would be invaluable, I have struggled many times to position it just right. I would also like to propose being able to use the arrows to position the rotation center, it would be simpler and more accurate.

Re: Animation

I would really like that, because it takes me forever to set them at the same place. Also, I love salad.

Don't anyone say that last part was off-topic. Try HIGHLIGHTING posts to see what I mean.  wink

Re: Animation

Animation process can also mean:
1. Splitting animated GIFs into sprites
2. When you click "Import" in "Costumes" panel, you can select more than 1 image

both of them will be good

you can already do number 1. just drag a GIF into a costume area of a sprite / background.

Re: Animation

To add onto the .GIF subject just recently mentioned:

You can utilize a program like Photoshop or GIMP to turn the sprite sheet into an animated .GIF image. The animated .GIF image can then be imported into SCRATCH, which will automatically center the sprites.
