XD: Smiley

I think the Scratch team should make XD: a smiley that looks like it's laughing really hard.  tongue  What do you think?

I know it might be useless, but I would enjoy it!

Exactly! I think there should be a picture for XD: because what if you wanted to visually say something is funny.

Re: XD: Smiley

There isn't really a way you could represent that as an image.
Personally, I prefer the text XD.
It conveys more meaning.

Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Re: XD: Smiley

Why?  hmm
There are so many ways to type the XD smiley, like xD and XD and xd and Xd and all of that, so it's not really needed.

It would be nice but it is not essential.

I think s/he means the colon seperately.  It's like saying "Something: A Good Idea", but since the first part is a smiley, it's a little confusing.   smile

But he used XD: without anything like a secondary title behind it in the main post
I think the scratch team should make XD: a smiley that looks like it's laughing really hard.
My interpretation of that is XD: is the whole emote due to the lack of caps in the A of "a smiley"
"I think the scratch team should make XD a smiley" was my interpretation, and the colon confused me.

Re: XD: Smiley

A better way to implement this is using word smileys, such as:

lol

etc...

He put "XD:" in the original post though.

Re: XD: Smiley

Sure, if you provide them with an image to use, they can just add that smiley with the Easysmiles modification.

I'm pretty sure they won't though, they haven't ever added any custom smileys.

It would be cool, I guess, but not neccesarily essential. So I'm gonna say no

Re: XD: Smiley

By looking at any Scratch Team members posts it is clear the only new smileys they would support are more well-meaning smiley faces.
