What's a iTopic. Is it like a sticky?

I THINK it is when a topic is important, but not so important that it should be sticked.

iTopics are what happens when there are a more than 6 (I think) stickies in a forum. The stickies get unstickied and changed into iTopics, and a new post is made that is stickied and has a link to all the iTopics.
IN the show and tell forums there are only two and one is the Gaming Archive and one is an itopic.
