I THINK it is when a topic is important, but not so important that it should be sticked.

It is the equivalent of a sticky, but there were too many stickies in many forums that Lightnin proposed the iTopic system

iTopics are what happens when there are a more than 6 (I think) stickies in a forum. The stickies get unstickied and changed into iTopics, and a new post is made that is stickied and has a link to all the iTopics.

IN the show and tell forums there are only two and one is the Gaming Archive and one is an itopic.

I'm pretty sure it was Lightnin who came up with the idea.  Let me check.
