Change .sb to something else

I realize this may be an annoyance, but it could be important. In Microsoft Small Basic, a simplified version of Visual Basic, the extension is also .sb. You could allow support for .sb, just make it not the default.

Re: Change .sb to something else

I think it should be the old .scratch file-type-name again, that was a unique, even if long, filetype.

If someone's been on Small Basic and then goes on Scratch, they may be confused and think a Small Basic project is a Scratch project.

I think they changed it to .sb2 in the pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha.  hmm

Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

I agree - .sb doesn't really associate itself with Scratch...

Re: Change .sb to something else

I think .sb is fine, although a .scr would make more sense, totally technoboy10's idea.

what about .sproj (Scratch PROJect)

I agree with some of those, but Mario and 3DS seem a bit specific.

.SB stands for Signed Byte, I believe.   tongue

How about .scr2?   (Scratch 2.0)

A Google search says it stands for Signed Byte Audio File, but that's probably another usage.   tongue
