Delete or close?

Should I delete or ask a mod to close a forum thread?

Re: Delete or close?

usually you should ask a mod to close then other scratchers can learn from the topic

Re: Delete or close?

Mods usually close it if its spam to look back at it later in terms of helping out in future situations. But if its a bad word or just plain rude they will delete it or edit it out. I never have seen a mod delete anything before on Scratch. But interesting question. Why don't you ask one of the mods or Scratch Team members?

Re: Delete or close?

As far as I know, the usual procedure is to close it so that other Scratchers may learn from your thread...but if it is not suitable or particularly sensitive you might want to delete it.

Programming is an art...
Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Re: Delete or close?

I'd recommend reporting it and asking for it to be closed; that way, others can learn as well  smile

Re: Delete or close?

As many people here have said, people usually have them closed so that a) others can learn from it and b) it can be re-opened if necessary.   smile

Re: Delete or close?

I'd say yes, as we can't really expand on what anyone's said.
