how easy it is to re-create high-quality animation?

I opened up some of the frontpage animations in Scratch and noticed how they don't use a timeline but instead actions to indicate movements and whatnot.

I was wondering, how easy is it to recreate a high-quality flash animation in Scratch considering this is a software for making games? is it easy or difficult?

Re: how easy it is to re-create high-quality animation?

It's very easy.

In fact, animations are easier to make than games, just they use some different functions.

The best way to learn is to download a (good) animation and take it apart. Learn how it works, 'ya know?

I made a MC texture pack! Get it at planetminecraft!

Animations mostly use the costume blocks, wait block and glide block.

Programming is an art...
Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Re: how easy it is to re-create high-quality animation?

Animations can be significantly easier to program than games in Scratch.
The majority of time spent on most high-quality animations is on creating the graphics and music.

And broadcasts.

But yeah, GOD_M0D3's correct, just download a good animation, and see if you can work out all the scripts  wink
