Save failed: is the folder read only?

I was updating my game, http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/DaScratcher101/2342062, Scratch Snatch, and I tried to share it. When i did the usual way i updated it, it didn't work. I just decided to save it, and when i saved it said: Trying to rename a file Scratch Snatch already exists. Then i clicked OK, and it said what the title of my topic is! Anybody know what happened?!

Where are you saving it to? Do you have enough working memory?

Re: Save failed: is the folder read only?

That happened to me before when trying to override a sprite  tongue  I worked around the problem by deleting the old sprite and then exporting.

Yeah that was about sprites, but it's probably the same problem ^^'

Re: Save failed: is the folder read only?

Do you use a Mac? If so, it's easy to lock a folder so that it's read only, and perhaps you accidentally did so.

If nothing works, I suggest you backup your project (via a separate hard drive, or try another place in your computer like your desktop) just in case, and then delete the scratch program, and then re install it.

It's not memory--I deleted all but 10 of my projects to make room but still has the same issue. :s  sad
