Hard To Explain In The Title

I think that new Scratchers should be required to read the sticky's in each of the forums before they post their first post in the forum. They will have to agree that they have read it before they can start posting. Tell me if you don't know what I mean.

Re: Hard To Explain In The Title

Well, I think they learn well enough if a mod tells them to read the sticky before posting anything. When a mod told me to read Chrishcb's sticky READ THIS BEFORE SUGGESTING ANYTHING before suggesting anything, I almost cried.  tongue

Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Not all of the stickies are necessarily important to new scratchers. Besides, everyone makes mistakes. If someone's first post is about the wrong thing in the wrong forum, so what? People can learn from the past, & become a better scratcher that way rather than being forced to read all the stickies.

Sooner or Later. Or sooner. Not much, except for a lot. In a way. But it will come no matter what.

Re: Hard To Explain In The Title

Maybe just before using the suggestions forum they have to read the sticky, etc. only for the important ones.

Re: Hard To Explain In The Title

I really do not see the point of this retriction. (Intelligent) new Scratchers should be able to gain the necessary knowledge by themselves without being forced to read every sticky.

Re: Hard To Explain In The Title

I don't really see why that would be necessary. So what if someone makes a mistake? At least they'll learn from it.
