This topic seems to be getting rather heated - not a good way to kick off the rebirth of this server. Please remember that discussions on Scratch need to remain respectful at all times - attacks will not be tolerated.
Looking at the section in question - It looks like a lot of the controversy is stemming from the specific homophobic example that you chose:

Mods and admins will get a lot of trouble, if a griefer is on and is caught by you then you will be sworn at and insulted with anything they have on you, so don't apply for admin so you can stand there will a fake badge and a club in your hand then sob in a corner because someone called you gay, most griefers are immature, so you will get a lot of homophobic comments, which is another thing to be aware of.
Why don't you just reword it to say what you really mean - that mods and admins can expect personal attacks and that mental toughness is required? There is no need to single out a specific form of insult.

That's pretty much the only thing you need to be tough against, all griefers I've come to meet are extremely homophobic, I can't really warn against much else because the rest is a minority.

I'm sure there are other forms of insult that are employed - racist, derogatory remarks about intelligence, or the marital status of ones parents, etc. We've all seen trolls and are familiar with insults.
The issue is that you are singling out a particular form of insult - and it's looking like you are focusing on an individual. Why not fix it?

Because if I say that someone may be racist then we'll start getting people coming here complaining about that too.
I'm just trying to get the point across that being admin is more than flying around banning people and saving the day, you get insulted a lot. And griefers don't seem to use racial slurs that much, I guess the world isn't as racist as it is homophobic from a minecraft community point of view.
Nethertheless I will change it to something different then sit back as people I've "discriminated" against have problems with it and we'll just end up having unfit admins. I'm trying to do this differently in a good way, as last time Scratchia was running people got admin status because they knew an admin in real life, it caused too many problems.

The whitelist is a list of mc usernames. If you are not on the list you don't get on the server. Whitelist is a text file. It goes with minecraftserver.jar.

So when can we expect it to function more Scratchia-like?
E.g.: Bukkit, plugins, nice little spawn building
I can help with plugins/bukkit to a degree.

We have a spawn building started, it just needs more sandstone, I'm going for more of a urban desert town than the village last time. We already have bukkit and several plugins though.

I was thinking, should we get the old old old map back?
Pass-it-on, or the map that came after that which I remember more fondly?
(They are both super old)

OK.
No new map. Don't keep this map up either.
I think we should dedicate some time to setting up a nice spawn for a good map . I can help.
