I agree, in my opinion we are one of (if the only) animal on Earth who can think a lot for themselves. So in that sense, to me, we're the most important. If you snapped a dead twig, would it matter? No. So I think if you killed animals it's just like that. They can't think much, so they can't enjoy much, so the only reason they want to live is instinct.

How the heck do you know? Can you see into the minds of animals? It's already been proven that animals like dolphins have some degree of sentience. I don't think people are worth any more than animals;; we're only worth so much to ourselves. As Neil Cicierega once said, "An outside race would quickly know we're only worth our weight in dirt".

Yep.  big_smile

He also does music as Lemon Demon ("The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny", anyone?). That's actually a lyric from his song "Wrong".

Most of the human race's problems are caused by money. So money=evil.

But not ALL problems are caused by money, like obesity.

Obesity is caused by money, because the fast food restaurants are run for money.

The problem with people is people.  There is no problem with the world.  It's a rock.

But you're saying a factual type thing as an opinion. That's like saying "in my opinion, people don't have hands".

If we didn't know if people had hands or not, we would have opinions on it. We can't yet fully measure the level of consciousness in an animal just by looking at the complexity of its structure.

Money is just a medium of exchange.  If we lived in a barter-based economy, would goods be evil?  Money isn't evil, greed is.  Similarly, food isn't bad, obesity is.  Blaming our problems on money is not the same as blaming all of our problems on greed.

How do you know that people have hands, hmm?

To a degree, that question rather encapsulates the point I am trying to make.

Ok so what do you propose? We all kill ourselves so that the Earth can be saved? Hey it's our planet, we can use it how we want.

well if you use that same logic then because animals live on this world they could do what they want and overrun us.
just becuase we live on this planet does not mean we have our name on it. it`s not like this planet was made JUST for us. he/she is not saying we should all kill ourselves, he/she is saying that  not everything we do to this world is necessary

Do snakes need to bite us? Do tigers need to kill us? Do alligators need to bite us? Do cats needs to scratch us? Do dogs need to bite us?
It's just the way things are.
