How the heck do you know? Can you see into the minds of animals? It's already been proven that animals like dolphins have some degree of sentience. I don't think people are worth any more than animals;; we're only worth so much to ourselves. As Neil Cicierega once said, "An outside race would quickly know we're only worth our weight in dirt".

I never said I knew that or it was true. I clearly said it was my opinion.

The problem with people is people.  There is no problem with the world.  It's a rock.

But you're saying a factual type thing as an opinion. That's like saying "in my opinion, people don't have hands".

If we didn't know if people had hands or not, we would have opinions on it. We can't yet fully measure the level of consciousness in an animal just by looking at the complexity of its structure.

Ok so what do you propose? We all kill ourselves so that the Earth can be saved? Hey it's our planet, we can use it how we want.

well if you use that same logic then because animals live on this world they could do what they want and overrun us.
just becuase we live on this planet does not mean we have our name on it. it`s not like this planet was made JUST for us. he/she is not saying we should all kill ourselves, he/she is saying that  not everything we do to this world is necessary
