@ferret10 - Maybe Scratch wasn't but other places were! And the "Chatroom" projects just take up too much space

Chatrooms are cool i like them.

My opinion:
I'm (almost) 15, so it's not a huge problem for people my age, but most of the Scratch population is more around 8 or 9.
If I were the parent of an 8 year old, I would not want them going to a site where they can live-chat with people that they have not even met.

Conclusion: Whoever banned Buddy's IP (24.80.163.135), thank you.

Well, the Comment Block turned into the Comment Sticky Note which is very useful in it's own right.  Just right-click on the backround of the scripting area and choose "add comment".

Good idea to not have a chat room (or else it'll end up like KinzParty did, where the government had to moderate it).

If it's related to the project or Scratch in general, it is fine.  It's when it turns into non-Scratch related chat that it gets to be a problem.  Hope that helps

I disagree.Scratch is better with chatrooms because most places on scratch you can't chat freely or you would be spamming.so,please allow chatrooms:D.
