Humans are technically animals.
Okay then, let me rephrase that:
Why are creatures other than humans less important than humans?

But the nutrients humans get from eating meat, they can easily get from other foods as well.
And I read an interesting stat somewhere that vegetarians visit hospitals 32% less than meat eaters.
Anyway, this is already off topic, and it's probably gonna lead to a flame war eventually :\There's no law against eating meat and there never should be, unless an animal is going to make a real contribution to the world instead of eating grass and excreting everywhere I will slaughter and skin it for food and fur.

Because they do nothing apart from eat our resources, if a cow could work like a human then it won't be killed, but otherwise it's sizzling on a grill. They live lives which don't hint towards death, they live on a huge grass field for a few years before being slain instantly, it's not like we force 30 of them into each metre squared then stab each one and leave them to bleed out.

although this is off-topic, i'd like to state my opinions and views on hunting.
For food, it's alright.
Considering I am attempting to become a vegetarian this may surprise you, but I find hunting much more humane than slaughterhouses. You COULD live off the protein from tofu, peanuts, and lentils, but most people choose not to. I have for the most part, but it requires more planning than simply eating some lean chicken. Instead, you'd have to have some pretty protein-rich alternatives, especially if you're an athlete.
Our ancestors could've lived off non-meat alternatives, but their technology on how to process soy and such doesn't hit me as up to par. Now it's easier than ever to become vegetarian, but some aren't ready to make the switch.
However, I am all for animal rights and I oppose killing more animals than we need to. Cutting back on meat helps save space, pollutes less, saves lives, and is overall a good idea.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but there's some humans who can't go to work, help the planet etc., yet they're still treated with respect.
I'm just saying, animals can't help that they're not intelligent enough to do anything productive, and so don't deserve to be killed, in my opinion.

Often not true, sadly. If you are talking about deer or a free-range animal, then yes. Otherwise, many turkey are forced into overcrowded barns where they live on top of eachother, their beaks cut and claws removed. When they are old enough to be killed, it's often in a very violent manner, such as slamming them to the floor before slitting their throats open alive.
It depends what company, of course.

Wow, this is a discussion about guns, not hunting.
As a vegetarian, I'm quite against the hunting though.

That's because humans have emotional attachment to people, they don't say "My son is disabled, kill him", animals haven't gone to that level yet and just help their child survive until they do it themselves.
And many people eat meat because they like it, not all meateaters hate animals and want them all to die.

Even if we decided to treat animals the same as humans and not kill them, they would become useless to their owner and be let into the wild, and since the animals had been bred domestically for such a long time, they probably wouldn't survive too long from predators or they wouldn't be able to get food probably and would probably end up dying in more horrible ways (such as starvation or being attacked by a predator) than they would if they were being used as food for us
Anyway we should probably get back on topic XD
My favourite gun would be a nerf gun

Some animals do continue to live together and help each other, even into adulthood. ^^

I don't really have a favorite, as long as they don't kill or harm humans emotionally or physically. They can harm and kill animals, I don't really care.
I'm no animal rites person.

If non-human animals are the same as humans, why are plants different? They are still ALIVE. Many people want to save trees. Why do we save the trees when they are just plants? What makes a pine tree more important than a tree of broccoli?
Anyway, I prefer cannons to guns. And by cannons, I mean the ones mounted on aircraft, not like civil war era cannons.

Also, while I understand why you might not like killing, what would happen if we didn't try to kill Hitler?

Good grief, if you want to argue, then create a separate topic. Don't hijack the thread.
As for the guns I couldn't say as I've never fired one. So... an AK-47?
