It wasn't whether or not we could handle it, it was that keeping it peaceful was a hassle for the Scratch Team that was time better spent elsewhere, similarly to how religion topics are not allowed.

The worst part isn't the trolls. The worst part isn't that the mods themselves are against it. The worst part is that it's the only place in the world where I can talk about.
My family? Uncomfortable and don't want to talk.
My friends? Abandoned me when I came out.
Help groups? None near me.
Other forums? Don't know me well enough to understand.
My school? Everyone including teachers avoid me like the plague.

Sometimes I just feel like I should crawl down to the deepest reached of the Earth and stay there. No one would miss me.

Like I said, it's like an outlet for us.

LGBT people experience a lot of problems because of them being LGBT, unlike a lot of straight people. Some, like me, are even DEPRESSED about it.

Yeah, I get depressed about it too.
And if Scratch didn't exist, I'd probably go my whole without coming out to anyone.
I just don't see why the mods can't trust us to be sensible.

And wait for those to get accepted by the ST? If they don't accept the topics, why would they accept a forum about being LGBT?

It's not so much the topic discussion that made them close it, it's the amount of moderation it needed.
They'd probably accept the forum, because they themselves wouldn't need to moderate it.

But they wouldn't let us link to it or even mention it. Also, who's to say we won't be trolled there too? But now with no stakes. They can troll all they want, no repercussions at all, it'd just keep happening, every day, every single day.

So what? Make your own forums. If Scratch does not allow it, don't try to fight it. Just make your own forums. Easy as that, no trouble and no harm.

Some parents may not wish their son/daughter to join another forums, as they may not feel they are suitable for children, such as harsh language, or just don't want them to join another forums.

You don't have to have them approve it if you don't tell anyone about it on scratch.

But then noone would know about it...

You could tell them by email, or Skype.

Just keep it all off Scratch.
