Mods cannot allow a certain image, sorry.
Also, for joefarebrother's idea, it's great, but the mods already have too much to do that it wouldn't work out...

Perhaps only Scratchers can post images, not New Scratchers?
New Scratchers already have that limitation, we're talking about regular Scratcher accounts this time.

Pure injustice.
Oh well, like the youtube repeat fiasco, time to make a new chrome extension.

I guess that it's not really a concern for me, since I'm a New Scratcher and can't post images anyway. EDIT: Not anymore! xP
But couldn't people just post a link to pictures?

The current New Scratcher/Scratcher thing is bad enough to lots of people though

You guys are seriously overreacting. Hundreds of us are being punished for something we took absolutely no part in!
You guys always tell us not to feed the trolls. But right now, you're overreacting to the troll, which means you're feeding the trolls.
This was a horrible decision on your part.

This is not a punishment; it's a precaution. We understand that none of you had anything to do with the attacks and it was an outsider troll (though it could be one of the people who have trolled our forums before). And while it would be all well and good to keep images on, these measures are necessary so the trolls cannot strike again in the same ways as before.
We're aware that this is a difficult sacrifice to make, but we're only doing it temporarily until we work out some sort of a better solution. In the meantime, you can have fun typing the [img] tags without an image appearing!

What did I miss? I was away on vacation, and couldn't get on Scratch 'cause I didn't have Internet access.
So, what happened?
(they still work in sigs, though)

Or you could provide a direct link to the picture.

For some reason, in the original post, the rest appears as "big_smile"

I am not going to post the idea i just had, incase the ST and mods actually do it, as another precaution >_< anyway, this [ img] tag ban has no affect on me, and I don't know why at all. I still see images, where the [ img] tags are, and it's just odd.. really, odd....

@ The forums are now a bit more boringSecurity always has a price. I don't like having to use keys to get into my house and car all the time - but I lock them anyway because I think it makes them more secure. It's unfortunate that everyone has to suffer because of the actions of a few individuals.

@ Bye-bye Block Library
It's too bad about the block library. Maybe it should be moved over to the wiki?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I've heard. On the plus side, the pages will load faster and there won't be any more image spamming.

Couldn't we just upload the post, but until a mod looks at it, the tags are disabled.
We are happy to consider suggestions as long as they meet our security concerns and don't create a large drain on our moderation or development resources. There's no feature in the current forum software for doing what you suggest.
Honestly no offense Paddle2see, but those kind of sound like cheezy excuses....
