I agree. And, windows can be edited, Macs don't want you doing that. Windows are for the pros, Macs are for technologically impaired people.
Wow, that's really sad if you think that. Macs are for developers, PC's are for gamers, if anything, PC's are for technologically impaired people.

If your a good developer, then you'll earn back the money you spend, and might even gain. They do that so not everyone can develop apps, only skilled worthy people. If you don't want to pay the money, then you shouldn't be a developer.

I see what you mean, it just depends on the preferences of the user.
All it really comes down too, for me, is money, and proformance(speed).
As well as gaming, my brothers and I also do a lot of graphics heavy video work, and for an editor there's nothing more annoying than slugging rendering. That's a big reason why we went with our PC. It can run After Affects, or Premiere smooth a glass.

You need to make mistakes in life to succeed. At least Apple isn't like Microsoft, making you pay $60 a year to play Xbox Live. You can't even earn money from that, becoming a developer you can. Anyways, you can always learn to program, you don't need to be a developer to learn, you need to be a developer to publish your creations.

And by the way, just so you know, some pro gamers make hundreds of thousands even millions of dollars.

It's technically legal, it's just against the license. Breaking the EULA is not the same thing as breaking the law (you void the warranty and won't get support and stuff like that). So the cops won't come to your house or anything.

You can develop on either platform for either platform (or, in some cases, for both platforms). Also, as I see it, Mac OS X is more oriented toward being user-friendly, whereas Windows didn't start out that way and still isn't totally user-friendly (you need to know a few things to run it effectively).

What if you're just a hobbyist programmer and don't want to charge for your software? Some people are nice like that, you know.
Freakish wrote:

Irrelevant argument. Apple isn't in the gaming industry (not directly anyway *cough*iPod*cough*), so why compare it to Microsoft charging for Xbox Live?
Also, for reference in general (not oriented ant anyone in particular), look at this quote from Harakou:
Harakou wrote:
[T]he original meaning of PC in that context wasn't "personal computer." It was used to refer to computers that were IBM-PC compatible; that is, they used effectively the same architecture as the original IBM PC's back in the 80's. Since Macs deviated and used processors from Motorola, and then PowerPC, which had a different architecture, they weren't part of that group. Thus, Macs weren't PC's. Of course, this whole thing is somewhat irrelevant now because Macs have moved to Intel processors, which run on the same x64/x86 architecture. This makes them PC's in both senses of the word.

I get it every now and then, because I don't have gold.
I appears on the dashboard If you don't buy gold for a month or so.
There is also 1$ for one month and 2$ for two months.

Okay, lets stop arguing what computers are better and what not. All computers have pros, and all computers have cons. They are meant to be different, and one isn't better than another.
And I don't think Macs are superior, I love other computers too. It just bugs me when people think that ___ computers are better then ___ computers.

Exactly. One computer can be better for one person. I can't buy fancy programs, I have to stick to basics. If you have money, you can get a Mac. IMO they are more costly to use, since it appears you need to purchase almost everything. The point of this topic was to show that Macs don't suit everyone. I like Windows. Someone else might like Macs. Just don't shove it in anyone's face. I applaud you. Really

That is basically the point of the topic, I think most of us overreacted to Mac people because they are generally more obnoxious about "superiority"
