Yeah, Jack White's great. I think he's one of the most original and talented guitarists of our time. The best thing he's done, IMO, is Elephant. Jack knows how to combine his interesting guitar with Meg's minimalistic drumming, and Elephant shows it at their best.

I like Icky Thump and Elephant, and for The Raconteurs my favorite album is Counselor of the Lonely.

I do too, but I don't think they're the best band ever or anything. They're underrated many other places, but overrated on here, IMO.

Why are they overrated just HERE?
Their songs have actual meaning, and they can/have saved lives. Their songs are all really catchy, yet have a deep meaning. Plus Gerard's vocals are at times, haunting... such as in Vampires Will Never Hurt You.

I do know their older stuff. In fact, I'm familiar with all four of their albums. I liked Bullets, even though I think that the vocals and production really improved on the later albums, I loved the energy on 3 Cheers and the originality of TBP, and thought Danger Days was pretty good, despite some filler ("Party Poison" in particular).

Overall, I like the band, and think they are far superior to some bands they get lumped in with (e.g. Hawthorne Heights), but a lot of their fanbase (not you, don't worry) is extremely annoying, and they are far from perfect. I don't like the bad reputation they have among some people, but they aren't the best band ever or anything like that.

On a side note, if you like MCR you might like a band called AFI. Their best album's Art of Drowning, and Black Sails in the Sunset is a very close second. Awesome stuff.

Hathorne Heights suck ._. People lump all the fans into the emo-kid stereotype and it's annoying D: I know I'm annoying but I hate it when people mock the MCRmy~

The video for Vampires Will Never Hurt You, I must admit, is horrible XD Bad camerawork and stuff.

Well, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, and Slipknot seem like hardcore metal bands in my opinion. Unless there is even more hardcore metal out there. o_o

Hardcore metal doesn't even exist.

I didn't exactly mean it as a genre. I just meant "hardcore" as an adjective in general. ^_^
