That's a horrible device, truly.

My grandma got an iPad 2 for Christmas....now that's a good gift!

If it is a generic Android tablet, then sure, that is horrible. But if it is an Acer Transformer Prime, it could blow your grandma's iPad 2 out of the water! xD

Oh, and I forgot to mention I also got Van Halen and Daughtry CDs.  tongue

We're talking about iPads against an Acer!

There is no competition, iPad smokes an Android 100% of the time.

Androids are just pathetic remakes of what Steve Jobs did best, create an affordable, easy to use, powerful and creative tablet computer.

iPads are too locked down for my (and many geek's) tastes, just like their smaller siblings.

Android and iOS are for totally different things, anyway. Android is for people that actually want control over their device, and iOS is for people who don't mind renting a device (or as I call them, shiny toys) from Apple (because that is basically what you are doing, you can't do or change anything about them without jailbreaking!)

Back on topic, this is about what you got (or are getting) for Christmas, not iOS versus Android.  tongue

So you want a tablet that has nothing but allows you to make things and deal with the unrestricted android market. That doesn't make any sense.

I can see how people get jealous. Because the truth is:
iPads are more powerful, creative, smart and easy to use than an android.

Steve, can you prove every single one of those items on your list? Because I'd especially love to see your detailed analysis of the hardware that you must have done to conclude which was more powerful.  smile

Re: What did you get for Christmas?

Actually, I've been awake since 6
I wonder why no one else is excited
I entertained myself by reading the Pig Day Book
Then I got freaked out because there was a reference to Animal Farm in it

Actually, for my birthday, I got this: http://www.hypershop.com/HyperJuice-External-Battery-for-MacBook-iPad-60Wh-p/mbp-060.htm

So, on some days, I can enjoy a full 24 hours of not charging, it's a real treat.
