Are there any free Alternitives to Adobe Dreamweaver? I haven't really used Adobe Dreamweaver, but I've heard it's great, and user friendly, and I've seen it been used. It's also Adobe, and I think that most Adobe programs are great. I also know what the program does (Obviously) so I'd LOVE to give something like it a go. Also, if you know of a legal way to get Adobe Dreamweaver for free, I'd love to know that as well.

I love dreamweaver, I use it all the time! It is indeed really useful and user-friendly (well, developer-friendly).

There's a way to get it free, but I can't promise it's legal... besides I don't know it. My friend got it that way, I actually paid for it neutral

However, dreamweaver isn't the only one out there. Google WYSIWYG editors for the HTML, and there's Notepad++ for the PHP. smile

I am really not a fan of WYSIWYG editors. I use a combination of Notepad on Windows and Unitron on Mac.

I like split screen view of HTML and layout. That way I can check if it looks right, as well as coding the HTML myself. Dreamweaver is perfect for that big_smile
