Well I suppose that theoretically you might be able to hack into MIT's servers and disable it, but legally, no.

To answer this question, that's because it's all the online Java player can handle without becoming laggier than usual. Although that limit will go up when Scratch 2.0 with its Flash-based player comes out.

That should probably work. I've had 23 megabyte projects upload to the site just fine after compression.
