Re: How is the book Eragon?

Rephrase: Want epic Fantasy?
Read the original, of which Eragon is a shoddy knock-off.
The Hobbit.

Re: How is the book Eragon?

Eragon, while inferior to the Hobbit in all ways, is not very related.

Re: How is the book Eragon?

It has wizards and dragons.
Tolkien literally INVENTED the fantasy genre.

I love how people think they are so smart with books just because they know Tolkien. Fantasy was a growing fad in RPGs (actually they were pretty much the first RPGs.) Tolkien was one of many who translated all of the creatures and culture into book form, but one of few who became a legend off of it.

And also: Are you saying every fantasy book ever written is a copy of the Hobbit?

1. J.K. Rowling
2. JRR Tolkien
3. Christopher Paolini < Writer of the Inheritance Cycle, which features Eragon
4. Rick Riordan
5. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say. I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.
