Did you add those extra spaces on purpose or was it automatic?

I just kinda saw it as a plug...



About the general chrome apps topic, you have to open developer mode in extensions, and click 'load unpacked extension'. Then you select the folder (which you had smartly unzipped beforehand) and load it!

However, all that really does is a link to the Scratch website

Is it in the apps section of new tab? If so, my new tab window is blank... I made sure it was THE new tab window...
