BTW, cheddar, why does your title say "Scratch Team" instead of "Community Moderator"?
In August, I was given some admin functions to help out moderation on the main site. The title change came with it.
Gotz it.
It's not the best video.
I only messed around with functions and clones, because those are the only things I know are gonna happen in scratch 2.0. There is also zooming (those buttons in the bottom right corner), stamp transparent, and I imagine there are some other things I haven't experienced with. There also wasn't a image editor in it yet.
There are the sense colors (I don't get them) and the brand new sound editor

Sense color existed in 1.4. And the sound editor isn't that different.

Still fun to watch, though. Especially the cloning features.

From what I understand, the Scratch Team gave a viewing sneak peak of Scratch 2.0, but never gave any form of a Scratch 2.0 pre-release. The Scratch 2.0 talk page states this already when someone edited the Wiki saying that there was a beta release of the program:JSO wrote:
Sorry for the months delay :p I removed the info because just because it wasn't right, not because you aren't allowed to spread the info in gereral. There was/is no beta testing program, there was/is no beta version of Scratch 2.0.

I don't know the details about the removal but I know there is NO beta version of Scratch 2.0 and hence there is also NO beta testing list for Scratch 2.0. I saw a bunch of people sent emails to help@scratch asking to be added to "the list" but there is no such list so it just becomes a waste of time. I think it is important that the Wiki does not spread erroneous information that wastes people's time.--
Where is the world is everyone getting this pre-release thing from?

Yeah there is. If you record something and then press edit, it opens up the sound editor.
And I wasn't there. Some one who was there, an
uh
colleague
of mine got it and shared it with me and some

Ah, ye olde experimental pre-alpha for workshop use only has resurfaced!
Yeah, that looks like the pre-alpha that was shown folks who attended the hacking workshop at Scratch day. Things are pretty different now, as we knew they would be, so that's one reason why we asked people not to distribute that version.
Seems like there are a lot of rumors lately - perhaps it's time we had a 2.0 Q/A thread...
