So, I disabled the firewall for this.
I am using latest AVG, firewall disabled right now. NO BROWSER can access the internet if firewall on, and I've given them the 'Allow for All' status.
Can someone help me? Thanks!

Ditch AVG and get Microsoft Security Essentials.

Malwarebytes is good. I also use Avast! Free antivirus.

My favorite combination is SuperAntiSpyware and Avast! Free.
Avira and AVG were good at a time, but they kinda bombed lately...

My computer used to be really fast...
AVG made my computer slow down by over 20 times. The reason I went active on Scratch again was because I could never load another programming language called Kodu. I WISH I COULD UNINSTALL BUT MY DAD WON'T LET ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be able to add applications to the exceptions list or similar

I dunno... Avira seems okay for a free antivirus, but it does slow down our old XP a bit so we had to uninstall it. It's never connected to the internet anyway

The problem with Avira IMHO is that it has too many false alarms. It thought Photoshop Elements was a virus. So it deleted PSE and we had to uninstall Avira for Avast.
Avast is way better; I'm glad I made the switch.

Norton's good and reliable, but it slows down your computer...

I got a trial version of Norton preinstalled on my laptop. Trial versions are always annoying. >_>
Avira is installed on an old XP comp in my house, but we barely ever use it anymore, and it was loaded with junk anyway, so no speed decrease was noticeable.
My dad always put AVG on his comps until he started using MSE.

i have tested a few antivirus software... i am currently using avast... it is fast and free... trend micro titanium security is good too... norton may look cool but it slows down your computer... avira has too many false positives and is annoying when you compile a program you just wrote and it says it is a virus and deletes it... other antivirus software lets you choose what to do with the file... avast also has a run in sandbox mode... microsoft security essentials seems like it doesn't do anything because when i had it installed it didn't detect any viruses... pc tools is okay... malwarebytes antimalware has force-delete option unlike other software
