Re: Cursing the auto correct s*ucks

I think you're trying to point out that users can still get away with saying vulgar things using special symbols (such as '*' being inserted into words, etc.) and that you want a way to get help prevent this, right? I've seen users use this same loophole to get past the vulgar language restrictions on other forums of other websites, too.

Believe me, I think it would be great if the website automatically picked up comments where vulgar language is used despite the use of special symbols. Unfortunately, something like that is easier said than done.  sad  At this point, the only way to remove a comment that manages to bypass the restriction is to flag it down by hitting the 'Report' button.

People are very creative!  It is nearly impossible to design a filter that would catch all the combinations that people could come up with.  I'm afraid the best we can do for now is rely on all you good folks to flag those comments for us.

Good point, Enzo1997.  But, that's what the mods are for.  Once they ready your post you'll be banned and the problem will be solved.

Yah u should take that off

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Re: Cursing the auto correct s*ucks

Maybe,(if possible) you could design the system to detect the next letters that create such words. Example: [curse word separated by asterisks between each letter, removed by moderator] it reads the letters only and it reads [removed].
But the other ways they do it like: [removed] or something might be put in as a blocked word.
