it took me 3 years to get interested in the forums. by that time i was a scratcher.

Also, I asked only ONE person to tell me how many posts it took them to become a scratcher, and now everyone is talking about it.

Eh, you get on a topic in Misc and people just run with it. I wouldn't worry about it as long as it stays relatively on-topic.

Oh, and it's worth mentioning that Scratcher status is actually much more dependent on main site activity than forum activity. I imagine you had a fair amount of projects, which is why you got upgraded with so few posts.


Oh, and congrats! 

I'd recommend having forum activity being really important because those who have slow dial-up (or the 70k Dial-up Limit) would probably never leave the New Scratcher status.
