maybe the antivirus should scan for actual app lists that contain keywords like "shutdown". Then it would tell you any harmful apps.

That would be cool... it would be funny if our app devs coded a virus for Quantum  big_smile

they'd probably have to, to test it out.

Re: OS collab

I finished the update. I added a calculator- I haven't added the "antivirus" because, well, I didn't.  tongue  Link: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/a1130/2129411

BUG FOUND: Double click the green flag when starting the project. (Apparently, it's only on the online player.)

Good idea. The logo could be a Ruby with a line going through it (a crossed-out ruby).

Re: OS collab

Problem with such like that is that we can't make dynamic code because the code is hard-set, not like broadcast (which is the equivalent of calling a subroutine) and hence, there's no room for that.

what is this directed at? installing and uninstalling still needs some manual work.

Everything.
Applications would be much better to code if they had dynamic code, and the OS would work much more efficiently.

Vote on it. I don't like to make decisions like that. Or you could just all be equal.

Sure, but samtwheels isn't part of the collab anymore but I think he will let you...

I don't know who's the official leader of the collab now, so I just made my version of this topic here.
