Why does everything cool have to be hidden?

OK, so the reason for this topic is lately I have discovered some new cool things with scratch, EG: Meshes and Remote connections. Both of these examples are awesome features but both take a bit to activate, and why do these features have to be hidden.

One thing may be that Scratch is made for kids in mind, so they don't want a bunch of stuff cluttering up the interface.

Although I'm not part of the Scratch Team.

The problem is, both of them haven't quite been sorted out completely, well, maybe just mesh, and not many people use remote connections... So people might think they need to learn it when they probably will never use it...

The scratch team once said that the reason they want the program to be easy to understand, even for absolute beginners. If you were just using Scratch for the first time, you might be put off if you saw complicated things such as Mesh and Remote connections.

Sorry, I don't know why I put 'the reason' in the top line. Just ignore that bit!  tongue
