i think you should just ditch the java completely and move to the flash player. there are only tiny glitches once in a blue moon that are unconventional.
You could just not use the Java player.

I think it's good.Smooth running and fast!

it's pretty cool. It's smoother and cleaner. However, it seems some of my sound blocks which work normally aren't working. Although I made it switch to a certain instrument, in the flash version it played plain piano, although Java played it closer to the actual sound.

Flash doesn't come with a built-in MIDI library, so the Scratch Team has to create their own. It's not complete yet.

This is definitely smoother than the Java player. I have an Emac running 10.4.11, and the Java can be SLOOOOW. But with this Flash player, the frame rate on my computer is significantly higher. There are still a few flitches, but I have a feeling they will be worked out.

The default is what ever you left it on last time, and there is an option to switch back to Java.

It makes projects go much faster

the turbo mode doesn't speed up broadcasts because no matter how manny sprites it runs the same on the flash player and in turbo mode. i would like it to speed up broadcasts because i am doing multiple 3 d objects at once and it needs broadcast to be fast

Java Player - Plays properly, but slow and laggy
Flash Player - Plays fast and smoothly, but some things in-game don't work right

Lists display properly!

The flash player is great on my new macbook pro, but... the only thing wrong with it is that projects on my windows computer doesn't work? Is it because you like macintoshes better than windows? Anyway, I would recommend it for mac users but not for windows users.

Adobe has killed flash for mobile devices like android
It’s not like Adobe is in charge of that. That’s Google’s fault.
And Apple doesn’t even support Flash.
