I think you should change the definition of race here. Race doesn't depend on skin color, the word "race" is defined as "A group of people united or classified together on the basis of common history, nationality, or geographic distribution" (source). If it was dependent on skin color only, then I would be way too pale to be a Filipino by that definition.
