I hope petrol doesn't run out too soon because I want to be able to drive a petrol car before it runs out!
So what fuel do you think will be the alternative for personal transport? Personally I think it will be cooking oil and hydrogen.
Why cooking oil? Because 90% of Diesel cars can already run happily on it. More power too if you use cooking oil. You can get used cooking oil for free from a FishnChips shop.
Why Hydrogen? Because 99% of Petrol cars can already run happily on it and it makes a nice sound and is similar to petrol.
Why not Ethanol? It hurts your engine and it has less power compared to petrol.
Why not Electricity? It's usually derived from coal or nuclear power. It's boring... it doesn't rev... it just... hums
No gearbox on a electric car either because there the torque is spread evenly thoughout the RPM range
What do you think?

Who actually likes rev? Humming is much better. And nuclear isn't so bad as long as you put the waste in a good spot where it won't bother anything, like a sealed box deep underground.

I love revving!
Nuclear is just too dangerous, didn't you see what happened in Japan? We can't eat anything that comes from Japan now. And nuclear waste will always bother something, even deep underground.

Here in America, 50% of our government is made up of the presidents of said companies. If everyone switches to something else, HOW ARE WE GOING TO PAY THEIR RIDICULOUS SALARIES?????

Yea, I want to be able to drive a gasoline car before we run out of crude oil. Preferably my grandpa's 1974 Chevy Corvette Stingray!
I think the next fuel will be electricity in the short-term and hydrogen in the longer-term.
Yes, most electricity comes from coal plants, but those will be replaced not too long after gasoline cars are. Even if they aren't, it is easier to control the pollution of a few to several dozen coal plants than millions of gasoline cars, with stuff like CO2 scrubbers and catalytic converters. And yes, electric cars don't make the satisfying revving sound, but they can be just as fast as gas cars, and soon will be a whole lot faster, because electric motors are alot more efficient than internal combustion.
You just about nailed why hydrogen would be a good alternative. Also, it is much cleaner burning than gasoline, and even natural gas.

I very much want to be able to drive a petrol car before we run out of crude oil!!! >.<
Preferably a Skyline 2000 GTR or R32/R34.
And electric cars are just not friendly with me
Did you see when Mythbusters ran the carburettor car with hydrogen?

Pah. Nuclear power is much cleaner than any other power source. Look up your facts. Only look them up from .com though. As .gov tends to be biased.

NUCLEAR = DEATH
Good thing that they don't use nuclear here in Australia. We use coal!!!
