What's an SDK? Software developer kit? So basically we can make our own apps and implement them in Quantum?
Oh nevermind. I feel kinda stupid asking that question.

Aight, so what do you still need out of me? I feel left out for inactivity >.>
Want me to make like message boxes and stuff or something? Something UI related? D:

i like it. I will make it broadcast "initialize" and report all apps installed.

by the way, can you guys make some apps for the app store?

I'm an OS dev, but whatever. Where did all our app devs go? What happened to ssss, bbbeb, and all those other people?
@Zeusking Awesome background.

no idea. ssss would have been good to have.

@samtwheels yeah...
By the way, I think you should create a progress log to record how much progress we've gone through. Something like this:
Quantum Progress Report
-Features
-Interactive Quantum (broadcasts whatever you type) progress: 15% ish
-Volume changer- progress: 100%
-taskbar
Things to do:
[insert things to do here and progress]

We currently need apps for the OS. You're a great Scratcher, and somebody like you would be really good for this collab
Inactivity is not your fault, I've also been inactive for quite a while

Thanks. I'll go look and find out what apps we still need....

bbbeb, can you make a text editor? I made one built in, but my scratch is messed up, so I couldn't upload. It is a little repetitive. You will have to build it in, and make everything compatible. make it broadcast text and close text, and I will update the SDK.

I'm not an app dev, but I can make one. It'll be very glitchy, however.

I'm importing RubyINSTALL into my update of the OS, and hopefully some apps will come to Quantum

could you change the word "app"
to "app(s)"? it would make it more clear.

That's nothing like what I plan to do. (REMEMBER: The default typeface for Quantum should be Trebuchet MS- or at least, that's what I did in the update.) We could make it more realistic so it looks like there's a process. We could make multiple costumes, something like this:
Step 1/3
Please wait while the setup is preparing the files needed...
Step 2/3
Loading/Extracting sounds and images...
Step 3/3
Extracting the .qsa file [Quantum Software App or some other imaginary app extension]...
Done!

that all seems unnecessary. all it really does is send one broadcast.

Basically, all it does is change a variable or broadcast something. There is no need to do all this random costume-changing stuff, but it's to make it look realistic, as if there really was a process
Maybe I won't do this, because the OS might get too big if I add all this.

Any app ideas?
I'm planning on adding a calculator, and probably a "simulated antivirus," where it's merely an animation that "scans" your computer. I'm also adding the "open the pod bay doors" easter egg.

I'm going to sign out real quick, my computer right now doesn't have Scratch. I'll go onto my laptop and sign in again.

Working on the update.

maybe the antivirus should scan for actual app lists that contain keywords like "shutdown". Then it would tell you any harmful apps.

That would be cool... it would be funny if our app devs coded a virus for Quantum
