New scratcher status

Hi. I saw on another topic that in order to get scratcher status, you have to have been registered for at least a month, no matter how active you are. I'd never heard about that rule before, so is it true?

Re: New scratcher status

Yeah, I've heard about it, but it might not be true (Sorry if I'm wrong). I was reading Death_Wish's thread about how to become a Scratcher soon and it didn't say anything about that. Somebody got updated in two days!

Re: New scratcher status

no it isn't true. i know some people who got scratcher status under a month.

Re: New scratcher status

The Scratch Team encourages you to not ask them about it and make it such a big deal. The point is, being active, being on the forums for a considerable amount of time and being trustworthy enough to be allowed to post in Misc. is what makes them approve you. Moderators and members of the ST can make a New Scratcher a Scratcher at any time, though.

Took me 2 posts on the TBG forums.

Re: New scratcher status

The algorithm the site uses to determine status has, as far as I can tell, never been described in detail.

Re: New scratcher status

A month is common for a new active forumer, so that may be where that comes from.

I wasn't complaining about the rule or asking to have my status changed, I was simply wonderig whether the rule was true.
