Looking to 2012 - The Scratch Community
No, this isn't one of those OMG SCRATCH WILL DIE threads.
I want to see what the forums think will happen next year, like milestones, people who will quit, new mods, and anything that may happen or change.
Yes, 2.0 counts.
SO what do you think will go down?

I think that the trolls will slowly die out (I've seen it happen before) and Scratch 2.0 will attract more people to the site, so that the old famous Scratchers like SpriteMaster and Archmage will start getting ultra-famous again with new projects. Eventually, when we go back to the forums, things will be like it is now (hopefully with less strict mods- I mean, seriously, just prompt us to make sure we're okay with the trolls and links and stuff when we go to Misc, and make sure we're [age]+ from the account birth date!).

I predict that I will get round to making my ossim 3D warriors game and Team Earth's project will be finished and on the site sometime in 2012.

i remember doing this in 2009 and everyone ended up being correct. like we basically all said people were going to start gong crazy about hackers and stuff.
my prediction for next year is that the site will start to get more popular, especially with the 2.0 updates. i recon old scratchers who quit a while ago will return again, perhaps just to say hey. then maybe there'll be a lot more games then usual, because new users will be inspired by others work.
as far as the community on misc is concerned, it'll probably get much bigger and it'll branch out on the main site a lot more.
that's just imo though.
oh, and scratch 2.0 will come out on scratch's 5th anniversary.
im calling it.
