secure login security https - option for all users

I feel uncomfortable there is no secure login to my account here.

At least there should be an option to select the secure login.

There are open source secure servers,
there is no need for external certifications.
(add a hint text for people logging in: trust the cert or use the non ssl-login)

So no additional cost for Scratch.mit.edu 
except some work for the hosting team.

Yes, definitely.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

I don't think it's neccecary.  Nobody can get money by hacking Scratch accounts, and the ST has it under control.

I agree. Scratch login should have a safe login to reduce the amount of trolls hacking into other peoples accounts and post innapropiate things to get them banned for no reason at all.
