Ability to Hide Some Scripts

I think that there should be an ability to hide and show some of the scripts used in programming. Here is my reason: Cheat Codes. I wanted to add cheat codes to my new game that I'm working on, but I figured, what's the point of adding a cheat code if the player can simply download and read the script, than post the code in a comment? You shouldn't be able to hid all of the scripts. Maybe just two of them. Please consider this.

For the sake of Cheat Codes everywhere.

Re: Ability to Hide Some Scripts

I thought this had been suggested before, but can't remember when. I support, but the limit should be like this:

-2 scripts (hats), or
-5 blocks,
whichever comes first.

Re: Ability to Hide Some Scripts

That would defeat the purpose of Scratch though, where you can learn from other people; if you hid the codes, people who want to put cheats in their games but don't know how won't be able to learn.
However, if you still wanna have hidden sprites, try looking at this: http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Hidden_Sprites  tongue
Just remember to put a scripts on it saying
when z key pressed
show

So you'll be able to get it up again!

Re: Ability to Hide Some Scripts

We do need this, hidden sprites are a bit of a pain to make.

Re: Ability to Hide Some Scripts

Didn’t Scratch already say that there would be absolutely NO hidden scripts/download locks?

Even for cheatcodes, you could try to make the script look so complicated, no one would care to interpret it, or so simple that people wouldn’t suspect it.

Yeah, but that'd be such a pain, I'd recommend uploading the game, making sure it works online, then reuploading it with a script that can crash downloaded scratch if you want cheatcodes.

I’m ashamed in myself for not thinking of this.

I was reading a page in scratch wiki about this, So it wasn't really my thought.
