Animating icons

On the scratch web sight, I looked at other peoples icons and some of them were animated.  How do you do that?  Is it something you can make or download?  If you can tell me how you get them and/or make them, I would like to know.  Thank you.   cool

Re: Animating icons

You can get lots of animated icons at
http://gifanimations.com/
http://bestanimations.com/
To be able to create or edit animated gifs, download the Advanced GIF Animator.
Hope this helps.  smile

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: Animating icons

I use Microsoft GIF animator. Its VERY old, but easy to use for the beginner to make small animations, like my ScratchStar. See here (http://sunnyneo.com/tutorial/blinkiepainttutorial.php) for instructions on how to use it. The page is suppose to be a blinkie tutorial for Neopets, but just look at step 5.

Re: Animating icons

I use Gimp to create .gif animations. Every picture in it's own layer and when saving, just choose "save as an animation" (or something like that).

1. Paint shop Pro is by Jasc and Corel, and Photoshop is by Adobe. 2 different products.

2. Animation shop comes with PSP (Paint Shop Pro.)

3. How good is Animation shop? I am thinking of buying it...
