I've been using MS Office 2010 for probably over a year now with minimal glitches. Today, I noticed an error when I try to save.
When I went through the steps it gave me, I saw this:
It says it's a trial version. (We purchased a CD for it when we got the computer, Office Home and Student 2010, with 3 installations)
So I went through the steps, put in my product key, and it seems to go through the process. But it doesn't restore any functionality, and it still says it's a trial version. The computer is Windows 7 Home Edition.

It's possible you accidentally did open a trial version instead of the version you own...

Update: I can save in other MS Office applications, but not Word.

Atomicbawm could be right. You maybe be trying to use a trial version that came with the PC instead of the version you bought (though this theory only works if you bought the computer pre-built).
If that isn't it, then I don't know what else to do. Get OpenOffice, I guess. It is better and less bloated, anyway. And free.

Uninstall all Office things and reinstall from the CD/DVD that came with your Office product.

It's not a trial, we had to install it from a disc. also, I'm not going to OpenOffice on this computer. the thing about open source software is that it is not (and by extension its formats) widely used.
