Educational games

I one day sat down on my PC and noticed how many child members we have. Knowing my passable ability with Scratch, I thought it would be great if I made some kind of educational game.  I'm planning on making a game that teaches kids about things like cells in an attractive, fun way so they don't drift off and quit right away.

First, I need suggestions on what I should do.

Second, I need someone to direct me to some educational games.

Third, I would like to know of anyone with prior experience in making such games.

Thanks for your help,

FMT

Re: Educational games

try looking in the Educators thread for educational projects

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Re: Educational games

I work with a personal trainer who is always asking me how to make physical fitness [link to commercial site removed by Forum Moderator] more interesting for kids. This is an important part of physical education because if you dont make it interesting then they lose interest so fast. We want to develop a rudimentary computer program so kids can follow along. We hope to have the scratch program completed shortly and will post the results soon.
