DON'T say your quitting in the public, screaming!
Quitting is stupid if you just say:

You should write it more like Veggieman's post... Not saying it's good that he quit, it's just a very sincere, good way of saying 'I'm bored on Scratch so I'm leaving for a little while. Bye.'
on the forums! Just make a small project and eventually people will get the news. People will protest on the forums, which will start people getting mad because their role models and friends are leaving, so they'll leave, and so on. You're just pouring gasoline on the flames!
Quitting reasons:
Minecraft— Just play one day and Scratch the other! It's not like it takes every day of your life!
Fame— If you quit, people WILL view your projects, but then they'll get bored and they'll be forgotten. There is a Show and Tell forum, you know.
Scratchers are immature— Not much I need to say on this... If you have a problem, tell the person to stop, and if they don't, repeat, and after many, many times they haven't, report them to a mod.
Scratch is Boring— There's a Project Ideas forum, requests, collaboration and Suggestions!
No swearing and discussion of 'Important Topics'— Really? Mad because of censors and no possibly offensive, rude or disgusting topics? There's other places for that stuff!
Add anything to the list, please. We need solutions for this stuff.

Oy vey guys, so many threads regarding quitting. These topics really don't go anywhere and, as you can probably see, just clutter up the forum. Let's avoid making topics regarding that, okay? Closing.
