The disappearing sprite

Dear all,

A bit of a prob that I am not sure how to sort.

Several of my pupils have been working on their projects when one of their sprites disappear from the sprite pad at the bottom right of the screen.  The sprite is still showing on the stage.

Had anyone come across this and is there a fix for it?

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: The disappearing sprite

Actually, I have come upon this glitch. As far as I know, there is no cure for this disease  tongue   It happened on one of my games, so I just had to work around it. But it does get annoying when you want the sprite to hide but then can't find it. I guess what you could do is just export every sprite into another scratch place. That is the only way I would know how to fix this.

Hope that helps,

Bosox397  smile

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Re: The disappearing sprite

You can fix it by right-clicking on the sprite that's you can see on the stage, and selecting "export this sprite". Then you need to save it somewhere where you can find it again and export it to there. Press the import sprite button, find it, and import it back into the project and the sprite will show in the menu again and will have everything it had when you exported it.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.
