Scratch does not save projects on my mac.

My parents own A mac that I have installed Scratch on. Whenever I try to save however the screen says that the file is read-only and that the save has failed. What should I do?????

Saving works on a Mac just fine, as long as you have write permission on the folders that the files are to be saved in.  Please describe in more detail the trouble you are having.
