BYOB Question
Idk what category this is, so I'll take a guess. How do I make a block for only sprites/ only backgrounds?

You don't have to use it in the Stage or sprites if you don't want.

In the stage when you make a block, you can check the "for this sprite only" box in the block maker, but you can't make a block just for sprites not stage.

Alternatively, you could make a duplicate of that block and call it "xxxxx (for sprites)"
then you'd know which one to use when.
