Since we have no heat, and limited water, we have to be a bit conscious of our resources. Luckily, wmy mom made chicken and chicken soup yesterday, so we cooked the leftovers over our grill (doesn't require electricity). So, we're not in any desperate situation that requires us to go to some emergency shelters. Also, hopefully no school tomorrow.

O_o My situation isn't THAT bad as Lucario's, but the snow was pretty bad in my area and a branch did fall. Luckily, the snow's melting pretty fast.. In any case, it's going to be the rare snowy Halloween

Just got my power back a few hours ago. I was having fun playing board games by lamplight.
Soo many branches down at my house, it looks like a tornado hit.

Me too. I spent all night listening to huge trees fall on my house. In October! Well on the bright side, I'm saving money on firewood with the way I'm going out to snap off dead, dry branches to throw in the fireplace. There are severed powerlines at around head-level EVERYWHERE!!!

it's so weird it's cold and humid in minnesota but it can get really dry in the winter so it doesn't snow often
it's still way colder than some of you lousy northeast states
although lately i guess you've been getting hit a lot

I don't post that much on misc but I felt like sharing this. So yeah, past few days, the weather channel was predicting 5-10 inches of snow for us, and well, that's what happened. Normally this isn't too bad, right? There's plenty of plowing and shoveling to do and stuff right? Well yes, but in this situation it is worse because its so ealr jn the year. Normally it starts snowing late november or early december. As a result, trees have the weight of their leaves AND snow on them. This means many tree branches are drooping downwards, or just plainly falling. Hence, my yard and many others look so weird. But of course this damages powerlines and stuff. So my house has no power. (im using my charged phone with 3g to send this ).
Additionally, Im wondering if there will be school tomorrow. If so, I won't have my typed book report xD. If not, then we'll miss the field trip.
Ill work on trying to upload a picture if can. Wish me luck![]()

If you run out of water you could find some (clean) snow or something... I know it sounds odd but still. People used to drink/eat snow back in pioneer times, I believe
Even I do it sometimes
