Re: Mass "Scary Story" Thread

It's almost 11 so I've been entertaining myself rereading these... also, watching a creepy Doctor Who episode... I have like really bad judgement today.
After dinner, I ate a cookie, then proceeded to spin around in circles for three straight minutes  tongue

Re: Mass "Scary Story" Thread

This story isn't really scary IMO, but it's a bit off or creepy or whatever.

The night before you took the leap, I cried. I knew that I'd never see you again, ever. It was something you needed to do, you said. I believed you, like I always had. There was no reason not to; you had been trustworthy always. And you'd been there every time I needed someone. Until you took the leap. And what a marvelous leap it was.
On the morning you took the leap, you looked into me with your soft blue eyes. You had an understanding look on your face, as if you knew how it felt to be watching, waiting. Waiting until the moment someone you loved very much would disappear from your life forever. I didn't understand why, and I still don't, but you insisted repeatedly that you had to do it. You also told me that everything would be much better after you left and you gave me a long, sad look. I looked into you, and realised that you were the only person I had ever truly loved. At that moment, I looked away. After my revelation, I couldn't look into those kind blue eyes any longer. I gazed at the trees. There was no time for this [OOPS I CAN'T SAY THAT ON THE SCRATCH FORUMS]. You had to take the leap, before anyone else woke.
You said goodbye, and hugged me. I watched you create a trail of footprints up to the ledge. Then I turned away and trudged off to my bedroom. When my mother entered the room, she found me uncontrollably sobbing in my closet, hiding behind my clothing.
The next three weeks were blurry. School was pretty much the only thing I did during that entire time. I don't really know what happened, though. All I know is that I thought. I thought of what I should do next. There was only one option.
I made preparations. I wrote a letter to James Redding, the man who gave me twenty dollars on the bus so I could buy him several milkshakes. I threw a brick at Ellie Twelliss, the girl who had mocked me since kindergarten when I outsmarted her in a playful game of Connect Four. I completed all of my unfinished business. Then I left.
It was a cool, grey morning. The birds sang softly in an unearthy chorus, setting the mood for my final act. I trudged upward to the cliffside, looking out at the trees like I had that day you took the leap. I heard a rustling noise behind me and I turned my head around. My mother and father were running up to the hill, shouting. I couldn't understand them. It was now or never.
Invisible hands playfully pushed at me. They felt like your hands. I realised what mattered most, and took a single step forward.

It's also scarier than many other stories in this thread. :I

Re: Mass "Scary Story" Thread

I somewhat morbidly lol'd about the part with Ellie Twelliss
Anyway, pretty good
I believe the word is "depressing"

I don't think it's really "depressing" per say. Taking the leap is not what it seems.

That thing has been there for almost a week. The figure in the window. It looks featureless, only skin on a human frame, and it's pressing itself against the glass somehow. I don't know how it got there, and I don't know how to get rid of it.

At first I thought it was a prank, a doll or mannequin that some jerks put there to scare me. But I realized as I walked out of my house to pull it away... it wasn't there. I shrugged it off, thinking that someone had hidden it while I was walking through my door. But I went back in and looked out that same window, and it was looking in, staring at me. I walked around my house, yelling for whoever it was to come out, but no one was there.

The thing is completely hairless, and it didn't look like it actually had eyes, or even a face at all. But its head is turned towards me when I enter the room. When I sit on my computer, I can feel its stare boring into my neck. But when I turn around, it's innocently turned in a different direction.

Finally on Thursday I tried to open the window, but it's stuck. I think the thing's hands are keeping it down. But I got a good look at its face. Its eyes and mouth are behind the skin, pushing outward. It stared at me, smiling.

Of course, I screamed.
I smashed my fist against the glass, determined once and for all to get rid of the glaring monster. I know I’m strong enough. That glass should’ve cracked.
But it didn’t.
It shuddered under my hand, but it didn’t break. And that smile just got wider and wider and wider, until I thought its head would break in half. It raised its own hand and bashed the window with its palm. It was mocking me. But I saw the faintest crack begin to appear where it had hit, and I backed away.
No way did I want that smile in the same room as me.

So I got a roll of duct tape, and I started covering the window. I couldn’t look directly at it; it was terrifying just knowing it was watching me. But I couldn’t help it. I took a quick glance at that face. A small peek.

It was angry.

That grin was now a large frown full of teeth. The skin had ripped away from its mouth. A menacing rumble started to fill the house. I pulled down the duct tape. The rumble stopped, the skin healed over, and it began to smile again.

Now it’s night, and the noise hasn’t started again. There are no sounds, no rumble, no crackling glass. Everything’s quiet now.

But I can feel its claws gripping the back of my chair. I can hear its skin stretching as it smiles.

It’s watching me type.

Found this somewhere. Pretty good, no?

It is very good. Puts a creepy picture in my mind. Bad ending though  tongue

Re: Mass "Scary Story" Thread

“There is a video on YouTube named Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv. If you search this, you will find nothing. The few times you find something, all you will see is a 20 second video of a man staring intently at you, expressionless, then grinning for the last 2 seconds. The background is undefined. This is only part of the actual video.

The full video lasts 2 minutes, and was removed by YouTube after 153 people who viewed the video gouged out their eyes and mailed them to YouTube’s main office in San Bruno. Said people had also committed suicide in various ways. It is not yet known how they managed to mail their eyes after gouging them out. And the cryptic inscription they carve on their forearms has not yet been deciphered.

YouTube will periodically put up the first 20 seconds of the video to quell suspicions, so that people will not go look for the real thing and upload it. The video itself was only viewed by one YouTube staff member, who started screaming after 45 seconds. This man is under constant sedatives and is apparently unable to recall what he saw. The other people who were in the same room as him while he viewed it and turned off the video for him say that all they could hear was a high pitched drilling sound. None of them dared look at the screen.

The person who uploaded the video was never found, the IP address being non-existant. And the man on the video has never been identified."

<3 that story. It ends a little like TDD's, where the guy commits suicide in the way that the girl did so he could be with her.

THE LOST YOUTUBE VIDEO

I'm banned from YouTube, but before I was banned,I looked up "The Scariest Video On YouTube".Everything was the same.Scary maze games, screamers, everything. On page 30,I found a video with the same title. The description was just "Jjfygrhy3vrf."I just clicked on it.But before I saw it,I looked in the comments.Only 2 comments. One had a Z with a circle around it.On the bottem of it was a reply with a language I never saw before. The video was about 3 minutes long.It started. For 10 seconds,it showed static.I then heard an eerie laugh. The blackness faded away, showing a creature with an oval head, having red, glowing eyes.It had very sharp teeth,(with its mouth always hanging open,of course.)Then it showed an eerie smile. It started coming closer,to very creepy music. Then, all of a sudden,a blood curdling scream came.Soon it showed static for the rest of the movie.I could hear whispers saying "Turn back. You don't know whats coming up in your life."Soon the movie ended.I looked at the comments again and one was named "higfffrrrrhrh".I looked him up.Nothing.It said he doesn't exsist. The other,no username. One month after watching the vid,I caught a horrible diease that the docters didn't know of.

(this video isn't real, but i am banned from youtube. This is also before this topic closes again.)

Wow.  That's amazing.  Did you write that?  It's one of my favorite stories I can remember reading on the SF in a long time.

yeah he wrote that

Well, I hope he sees this cause it's really good.  Except maybe, you should leave out the period at the end of the last sentence.

Yeah I wrote it. Thanks for the positive words!  big_smile
I may take that into account the next time I show it to someone; that would definitely add to the mood.

@Wicki The story is metaphorical, at least in my point of view.  smile

Did you know that 100,000 students carry a gun to school? All of that because every 7 minutes a child is bullied. Stop bullying now.
