I am a Scratcher in the forums, but a new scratcher in the actual suggestions page. Why is that? It seems that literally no posts that start on the Suggestions forum ever get any attention from the Scratch team.

Yeah I've seen other people mention this problem too. Grr
And yeah the Scratch Team doesn't seem to really check the Suggestions forum anymore - though sometimes they have I prefer the Suggestions forum to Scratch Suggestions, so wahhh

They do read them, they just don't comment often on the threads so it seems like they're not there most of the time.
I sent a follow-up message to the other members of the ST about the problem, seems like it's been going on for a while but it hasn't been fixed yet.

Wait... Is there an actual problem with the system for the suggestions page? Or is it just really difficult to qualify?
If they read the threads, does that mean they're considering the suggestions?

There is a problem with the qualification system, the issue of what's causing it hasn't been figured out yet. Chances are that the bug is some kind of discrepancy between what qualifies as a Scratcher on the main site and on the Suggestions page; the Scratch Team members that take care of the coding have been looking into it.
If they read the threads, does that mean they're considering the suggestions?
Yes, they do consider them. They just don't necessarily reply to the threads right away, if at all. Like the suggestions page, they want other Scratchers to give their own feedback to the suggestion, design mock-ups, etc. to determine if the suggestion is feasible and something that would be beneficial to the Scratch community.

Thanks that all really helped.
EDIT One more thing. Would it be possible to only have the qualification system for creating suggestions, not voting?

I'm not sure about that. The Suggestions Page is actually based on a pre-existing system called UserVoice, and I have no knowledge about it. I'll see if another Scratch Team member familiar with the system can comment on that.

Not much luck. Maybe those in charge and familiar with UserVoice are occupied with something more important right now, or can't comment at this time.
