I'm planning to start a website for games I make on Scratch exported to .exe and from there exported to .swf. The first game I'm making is a Maze Maker. I'm adding a feature where you can get a code for your maze and share it to other people. The "copy to clipboard" idea would be extremely useful here. It would also be useful to other places. If you don't know what your clipboard is, it's what is copied when you right click>copy or Ctrl+C.

I can see this ending in a malicious way.
*Young kid is playing game*
Hey you! Press this button and then paste into your address bar!
*Kid doesn't think before acting, ends up putting what was a malicious virus link into his address bar*
I feel like the only way this could work is if a message popped up saying "Are you sure you want to allow this scratch program to alter your copied material?", which would kind of degrade from the quickness and efficiency of the button.

This is why Panther has dialogs confirming permission for file access. I agree with having the dialog; it's the only way to make it safe. I don't think it would degrade the quickness or efficiency at all!

I guess it all boils down to preference. I would rather select something in the description and do Ctrl-C.

I doubt most kids under the age of 9 know what an address bar is or what paste means on a computer.

I disagree.
I would like the block, as long as it had a warning.
