I think around the same for me... but I kinda contacted the ST and they referred me to the Scratch Wiki email and I emailed them and then I was approved smile

Account submissions are either approved or put 'on hold'. When a submission is approved, your account is created straightaway and a comment is placed referring you to where to find your password (remember to change it btw, otherwise the person who created your account can get in if they want xD). The only wait here will be in the time it takes for someone with the ability to approve accounts to come and do it (scimonster, Jonathanpb, WeirdF or me). Sometimes there may be a bunch of submissions; we may not have the time; or we may forget. Eventually though we get around to creating the accounts in a hopefully reasonable amount of time. tongue

Some submissions are kinda meh and are put on hold. Very sadly, they just sit there and stuff until an angel comes down and puts one back to pending, but you don't really see that very often. Um we have been suggesting a means to put them back after a while or something, it just seems so mean to leave them forever, lol. This is a good reminder to go repost that, thanks ;D

Oh and your account is approved now, check your messages to find the comment big_smile

TBH there are only three regular account approvers, and we kinda slack sometimes... I'm quite sure an account's never had to wait for more than two weeks though. Nowadays, I try and check account approval almost every day smile

What sometimes happens is that the account submission is declined; you know, submissions like "Please please pl0x :3!!!", "I'm good at grammar", "My friends are on the wiki", etc. Some people mistake that as their account submission still waiting for approval...

The problem is, there's no way to send another account submission if the first one gets declined D: You can give another submission to me, Chrischb or Scimonster via the comment system though, but please wait a reasonable amount of time (maybe a week?) after you first requested an account tongue

You could also try emailing wiki@scratch.mit.edu and explaining your problem, but I'm don't know how often that email is checked or whether it'll work or not ^^

It took me 2 hours because Scimonster was online at the moment, you have to wait until one of the wiki admins gets online and checks.

We became admins because we were continuously active, helpful, and we had things we wanted to use the tools for. I don't think there's a need for more admins or account approvers though hmm

But honestly, being an admin isn't a big deal - all it means is that you can do things like delete pages if necessary... tongue
